Rates & Payments

Clients are expected to pay any applicable fees at the time of service. Acceptable forms of payment include most major credit/debit cards and HSA/FSA cards. Rates vary depending on the type of session (ex. individual or couple) and based upon the length of the session 45, 60 or 90 minutes. Rates begin at $90 for a 45 minute session for an individual and $120 for 60 minutes; rates for couples range from $120 to $150 respectively. Please call for additional information.

Insurance

Salt & Light Counseling is a participating provider with many insurance companies and EAP programs; contact us for details to see if your plan is accepted. Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, your services may be fully or partially covered. Please contact your provider to verify your counseling benefits.

It is recommended that you contact your insurance provider to help determine your benefits by asking the following questions: 

• Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits? 

• Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet? 

• If I do not have a deductible, do I have a co-pay for each appointment? 

• Are telehealth appointments covered? 

• Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit? 

• Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

• Is Salt & Light Counseling LLC / Chena Blanchard in-network with my current plan? If not, what are my out-of-network benefits?

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please be sure to notify your clinician via email at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time to avoid a potential cancellation fee.

Good Faith Estimate

Per the Public Health Service Act implemented as of January 1, 2022, all clients have a right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE). This federal law is to help individuals from receiving unexpected expenses for medical care. Salt & Light Counseling LLC provides this Good Faith Estimate to all applicable individuals as a part of their intake paperwork packet. Health care providers and health care facilities are to provide a GFE to individuals who either (1) do not have insurance  or (2) are paying out of pocket; this information is to be provided at the time of scheduling a health care service. This GFE is an estimate of the potential cost of future services anticipated to be rendered and may need to be revised based upon a client's diagnosis, needs and/or progress with treatment.
